Victorian burr walnut inlaid music pier cabinet

Circa 1880
 
This Victorian burr walnut inlaid music pier cabinet features adjustable shelves, mirror back and turned pillars. Its unusual shape is accentuated by  the carved mouldings up each side as well as the contrasting tones of the burr walnut and rosewood. This item would've been used to store sheet music but because the shelves are adjustable, it is still a practical piece for modern living. 

The item is in good condition, has its original mercury mirror and glass door, and stands on four original ceramic castors.
