OUR STORY
Owner and British import himself, Daniel O'Connor first fell in love with antiques while living in Rutland, a small county in the center of England. An area known for its sandstone cottages, thatched roofs, and cozy pubs, Rutland is rich with history and has a reputation for preserving it in the form of antique shops in many of its villages.
In 2022, Daniel moved with his Kansas-born wife from England to Manhattan, Kansas, and decided to bring some of the charm he found while exploring Rutland antique shops to the Midwest. Working with experienced antique suppliers in the UK, Daniel now imports high-quality pieces of furniture from throughout Europe, many of them dating back to the seventeen and eighteen hundreds.

In addition to this fine old furniture, Flint Hills Arts and Antiques sells a variety of modern home decor, some produced by artists local to the area. It also boasts a resident business at the same location, Appleyard Upholstery, which offers both traditional and modern upholstery services.
